Philosophy on Writing
What is yours? Do you have one? Have you heard of another author’s you’d like to share? I think it’s Nora Roberts who says write every day regardless. She’s a fountain of wisdom so if you all know of anymore of her fabulous quotes on writing, please share. I heard it mentioned somewhere that Lisa Kleypas sits down and writes a thousand words before she does anything else for the day. After hearing these, it struck me that I was letting my muse (I use the term even though I think it’s used a bit loosely) control me when I should be controlling it. Somewhere along the line, I stopped viewing writing as a creative outlet/my career and started viewing it as something else. I’d love to tell you what but I’m not entirely sure. All I do know is that my productivity plummeted and self-doubt took hold of me.
Baaaaaaaaaaa.
Enough of that BS.
I didn’t start out in this biz as wishy-washy and a slave to my muse. I’ll be dammed if I continue on that path. So, I’m all ears. Let’s hear those philosophies on writing…those words of wisdom.
