Hijacking Mandy (contest)

Poor thing is really busy right now, which means she’s a sitting duck and forgot all about my posting privileges. *tapping chin* What to do with all this power?

I could turn her blog pink, but Melani and Angie already did that for her birthday. I’m still laughing about it! The pink princess barbie was priceless, especially when you know Mandy. I’m betting when Mandy was little she played with goth barbie. She had to learn about black lipstick somewhere.
I don’t know how many of you know this, but Mandy wears black lipstick when dressing up and I tease her about it. *giggle* Hmm, maybe that’s why she’s busy. It is the season of the pumpkins. She’s probably shopping to restock her supply. AH! And she told me she was busy writing!
What else can I out her on? Oh, I happen to know for a fact that she’s working on a book. A sequel book to a certain Michelle’s been beggin’ for it favorite. Though, if she sees this, she might not let me have it in advance, lol.
This has to be her favorite season. When we were at RT last year, one of the parties gave away the table decorations. Mandy’s suitcase was full of skulls that fans gave her. I wonder what airport security thought about that one. I have it on good authority that she’s got them decorating her office now. Which seems somewhat oddly contradictory to the fact that she listens to musical soundtracks when writing. The lollipop guild did help her through Daughter of Darkness.
For all my teasing, Mandy knows I lubs her. So, while she’s busily away and us mice are playing, I thought I’d come over here and hold a contest!

I don’t know much about Mandy but what little I’ve read here and there but the books of hers that I’ve read ROCK…its just that simple!
PS…where did you get the goth Barbie? I have a friend that collects barbies and I would love to add that to her collection if its avaliable.

I first heard about Mandy on a yahoo group, I can’t remember which group it was, when she posted an excerpt to The Leauge of the Unnatural. I haven’t read the short stories yet, but they are on my to buy list.

Anyone who loves Goth and this time of year is a person after my own heart. I believe in things that go bump in the night and things that can’t be explained. I know I have a sixth sense about many things – To know there is an author out there who loves this type of activity has to be top drawer. Those who don’t understand it miss out on a lot of fun!!
Hi Michelle and Mandy too. I had to laugh reading this. It made my day! You two are alot alike in many ways. In one of them that I lub about you both and Mandy is a great listener and one day it was really tough going for me, and I know I babble on and wrote so much. Mandy wrote back with just a few words, but it said so much, that she cared and she listened. No matter how busy she was, she’s a great listener, a great lady and there for us in different ways.

I like heroines who aren’t doormats. I want to read about a woman who can handle herself in any situation. Mandy delivers that kind of heroine. Yay for mandy!
I like Mandy’s books because her heroine’s are usually stronger than the heroes, which makes a nice change, and I can never resist a paranormal anyway. :jig:

I’m glad to hear I’m not alone in looking forward to Halloween. I can’t say it was always my favorite. Things that go bump in the night have always been my favorite but when I was sewing my kids costumes, I wasn’t too exciting. Now I am. Went out and spend a lot to money at the pumpkin patch this week!

Ok, so the truth is, it’s not on the schedule right now. They have me working on the Space Lords futuristic series. I loved the Théâtre de Passion series and hope to do more in that world someday.
I love Halloween, too. It’s my second favorite holiday. The first is Thanksgiving because I get fed.

I think Mandy is wicked nice and very cool. I used to wear black lipstick all the time. But please don’t call me a Goth. I’m an old school Punk rocker! I just got married and I know Mandy wants me to have the ARC.

I love Mandy because her books are absolutely amazing and I love everything that I have read by her. Her characters just drag you in and they won’t let you forget about them even when you are finished with their books. Mandy is also a really great person.
I haven’t read many books by Mandy, only her part of the anthology Ellora’s Cavemen: Legendary Tails IV which is Secrets We Keep and I also read Red Light Specialists. I loved both of them, it seems there’s something unique in those stories, especially the one found in Ellora’s cavemen. Dane simply rocks ^^

I’ve always loved books that allow me to laugh outloud. Oftentimes life gets heavy with what it throws your way. When I come across authors, Mandy, who allow me to steal away and laugh outloud…I treasure those moments.
Thanks for doing what you do… I’ve begun sharing my print books with a friend who now seems to be hooked on you as well.
