Pulling from my playlist on my current WIP, I thought I’d share a favorite of mine. I love this video and this song. It really is Madonna at her best. Best line… “I’m not your bitch don’t blame your shit on me.”

A long time ago, I started writing a book called Blood Lines: Blood Kiss. While this book was to be male/female, my vampires were bisexual. And my hero, Nick, introduced his mentor, Henri Baptiste and his lover, Nathan. Henri had a few short scenes. But I loved he and Nathan and the play between them.
Other books were written, Conduit and Crimson’s Rose. Each featured Henri and Nathan in some manner. And my love affair with them grew. They were such intriguing characters and fun to write.
One day, Henri said, “Write my story.” He wanted the story of he and Nathan told.
I answered back that I’d never written male/male before, and I wasn’t sure I could do it justice.
And then, I wrote a ménage, which featured a male/male couple, who bring a woman into their relationship.
Henri stated asking again, but even though I pointed out the ménage was different, he wouldn’t be stilled. I had to tell his story with Nathan.
I was so nervous about doing a male/male story. It was a challenge to me because I’m not a guy and I had to write two guys’ POV’s and their POV’s during sex. But I found writing it, that it was so much fun to write. And ultimately, their story was a love story, which I do know how to tell (I think!).
Henri is called to his former lover’s side as she is dying. She also happens to be Nathan’s mother. Nathan has no idea that Henri is a vampire, nor does he have a clue as to his own power. Nathan can siphon off emotion. As Henri is feeling animalistic, Nathan’s pulling emotion helps him to keep his humanity. Unfortunately, another vampire has discovered Nathan’s powers and wants them for himself. Can Henri keep Nathan safe or will the currents between them escalate into something he can’t control?
Blood Lines Prequel: Currents is a book of my heart. Henri and Nathan are the characters that drove me to write their story.
On the lookout for something new and different? Something that breaks the molds, is high action and holds you to the very end? If so, Whitechapel Gods by S.M. Peters may be for you. Set in Victorian London, this steampunk fantasy novel did not disappoint. Not only are the gold clocks/black clocks a unique spin on it all, it also tells the story through multiple heroes.
I’ll let you all be the judge but I’m happy the cover caught my eye and that I stopped and bought it.
Boomerang Love’s is a contemporary romance set in Australia with an erotic/red hot heat level. Inspiration behind Boomerang Love was a combination of things.
More than a year ago Samhain Publishing put out a call for sun, sand, and sex anthology stories. I’d grinned in delight as I read the theme. Beaches! Exotic locations! Authors love the travel channel, especially me. I starting thinking of all the beaches I’d yet to visit, including those in Australia.
Ever since watching “Crocodile Dundee” an Australian comedy set in the Australian Outback I’ve been fascinated by the country. Yes, my fascination goes back that far. The country has such an allure for me, its beauty, the men, and the accents. I didn’t have to give it a second thought. I knew I wanted to try for a story slot. And so did my muse. Through the weaving of a story I knew where my muse was taking me.
The actual concept inspiration for Boomerang Love sprang from the relationship of my youngest son’s favorite hero and his wife. Steve and Terri Irwin.
Some mothers watch hours on end of cartoons with their little boys, not me. Mine still wants to grow up to be a crocodile hunter. And then one day I listened as the couple shared their “love at first sight” tale. The couple married within a few short months of meeting one another.
Almost immediately my muse asked me…what if a heroine left, instead of staying? Would she return? Did she dare? What about the hero? Would he be able to work her out of his system? The plot to Boomerang Love fell into place as I drafted a short premise up.
In those minutes the Thorn brothers were born.
I invite you to…Take a walkabout on the wild side.

I can’t believe Mandy didn’t learn to block me from inside her blog after the last time I snuck in and took control. LOL
*looking around the empty Mandyland blog warehouse, swinging stolen keys and wondering what kind of mischief I can get into today*
So, yesterday was a certain person’s birthday. We’ll call this person, um, Mandy and we’ll say she turned cough-um-murphen-ooh. I came today and not yesterday because she wouldn’t be expecting it. Yes, I really did remember it was her birthday yesterday. Normally, I’m more of a “call it good if you remember in the right month” type of person. But yesterday, I remembered all by myself…erm, ok, thank you outlook calendar.
Anyway, I bought her a gift and everything. I sent her shopping.
So, in my mind, Mandy’s birthday goes a little something like this…
The part of Mandy will be played by Toto. *ducking*
This is her seeing the wonderful present. Of course, before this time, she wasn’t in color.
I made sure to take care of that for her. What are friends for, right? I mean, knowing me has had to bring so much color and joy into her world.
I’m not sure what she’d do without— AHHH!
OK, that lightening bolt really hurt that time.
You know what they say about best laid plans. *looking guilty* I might have been trying to save a buck on the transportation. But the good news is she got there all right. Her house, well, I’m sure it can be repaired.
But at least she was greeted as she arrived. That’s the mark of a good store, right?
Or were those street urchins? Crap. I told Mandy to bring protection with her. Those roving bands of lollypop bandits are dangerous this time of year.
Unfortunately, her gift certificate was stolen and the shopping trip was delayed.
Normally, I would have left her to the mercy of the hoodlums, but it was her birthday after all. So, I sent her to a salon to get her hair done by this lady. Apparently, she thinks she’s a fairy. I didn’t correct her. She was the only place who had an opening on such short notice.
While Mandy was busy getting pampered, I organized my troops who quickly overcame the lollypop bandits and recovered the gift certificate.
This is them bringing it back to me. Isn’t that a sweet little blue flying evil monkey.
The day back on track, I took her to the beautiful shopping complex.
It was really crowded that day. And you know how people get inside stores when it’s crowded, hogging up all the space, blocking the aisles….
It was a zoo.
On the plus side, she did get the last pair of shoes she really wanted. And let me just say, Mandy’s quite the savvy shopper. Just a little negotiation and she gets what she wants.
*waving jedi hand over faces* Ignore the crushed woman. You see nothing.
To end the adventurous day of shopping and near death experiences, I decided it would be nice to hire some male strippers to liven up the party.
Apparently, those guys are busy and you need to book in advance. I could only get the second stringers.
*PRIZES-If you win a prize in a contest or theme day (etc) from Mandy's blog or from any of its affiliates and do not claim it within 30 days, its void.
