I’m lacking a virtue
Patience. Clearly I’m lacking this one in a big way. Fine, for the sake of the argument I’ll concede that I might be lacking more than one of the virtues. Patience seems to be my biggest, at least for the moment. It seems every which way I turn, its a hurry up and wait game. Blah. Par for the course in the writing world. Maybe a good fairy will come and grant me the ability to relax, kick my feet up and stop caring. That or just get me really drunk and I’ll totally forget what I was obsessing about to start with.
Here is my week in review update. I’ve done 12 covers in about two weeks (I think its less than two weeks actually but I don’t have the dates in front of me). I’m wicked excited about them all and can’t wait for a chance to be able to share the rest of them with you. I’ve got my fingers crossed that I get even more to work on. I love art. Its such a great outlet.
On the writing front… I’m still waiting to hear back from one of my editors. He seems to vanish at will. I might put up "missing" posters around the area. As soon as I get an answer from him, I’ll be able to pass on a release date to all of you. Whoohoo!
I subbed something to NY. Now its a matter of sitting on my hands and waiting with my breath held. I’ll be sure to post if I hear anything more on that. I also have a few leads/requests from agents that I need to follow up on. Again, I’ll be sure to update if anything new comes up.
I had it pointed out to me that I’m a dork and worry too much (more than once in the last week and by more than one person… hmm, I think they might be onto something there). I’ll do my best to calm my neuroticisms. (Stop laughing) Okay, I’ll think about doing my best to calm them.
I wrote for about three hours this morning. I actually planned to take a chunk of the summer off from writing but the muse bit so I went with it. I still plan to wait to go balls to the wall with it again once school starts back up around here but I NEVER say no when the bug bites.
