Play That Funky Music Amazon is running a great sale and I wanted to share.
They have Prince’s Purple Rain album (mp3) for 1.99 (you have to buy the entire album or you’ll be paying much more per song than the total of 1.99) You’re saving like seven bucks!

Hi everyone!
I hope you had an awesome Christmas (Holiday time). After sickness made its way through the house, all went well here. There is nothing like seeing the magik of Christmas time reflected in your kid’s eyes. My youngest is so wrapped up in it all and has so many really good questions that I love seeing him this excited. I’d like to take a moment to say that K’nex are the devil and that an engineering degree is required to assemble motor operated ones.
I thought my surprises would all end after the holiday was over. I was wrong. I found out I’m nominated for four CAPA awards. I’m super excited about them and am happy for all the authors listed.
I’ve also been busy on the writing front, working hard on the finishing touches for a few existing series I have out right now. I’ll post more on them as I hear back from editors.
Cover art has been keeping me on my toes. I have to admit that I do freelance work for some of the best people to work for. I really do. LooseID, Total E-Bound, Samhain and Sapphire Blue. Here are some of my newer ones.

Day in the Life
Today is my youngest one’s birthday. He woke me up at four in the morning wanting to know if he could see his presents. He then proceeded to enlist his middle brother’s help in assuring the rest of us got up. Soon enough, I had a groggy husband and teenage son coming out of their rooms, glaring at everyone.
Oh fun.
Feel the birthday love in the air.
We look outside and realize that the winter storm watch they’d had did come true and guess what, no school. The local bakery has forty dollars worth of jumbo choc chip cookies there that I’m supposed to pick up at nine to take into my youngest son’s classroom today. Uh, yeah. No school. Also, this was to be the last day of school before Christmas break starts on Monday. So no school until Jan now.
To top it off, I realized one of the gifts I got him requires C batteries. Of course, I have none but when I was wrapping it last night I thought "I can run to the store as soon as he gets on the bus and it will be ready for him when he gets home".
Tee hee. That’ll teach me.
He’s like the happiest kid in the world right now. He’s got his presents, an extra day off school and about forty jumbo cookies headed his way at some point today. Really, what more could a kid want.
Oh, right… a C battery. LOL
All in all, I’ve been laughing and shaking my head. Anyone who knows my youngest son knows he’s basically chaos personified so this really is a birthday becoming to him.

Hell If I Know What It Should Be Labeled
My MacBook Pro battery up and decided to drop dead. I figured, here we go… this is going to be a big pain in my ass. I called mac apple support and got Adam (who in my mind is a total fox who wears glasses because really, is there anything more sexy than a hottie in wire glasses– wooo, or to fit in my garden of mac eden theme, he could be a total hottie mac guru in a fig leaf). This guy goes out of his way to get things handled for me. He informs me that another battery is shipping out to me (this is Monday night at like 6 or 7 pm EST). In my mind, this thing is showing up early next week, maybe, because of the holiday season. Today at around 3 pm EST, DHL pulls up with my new mac battery.
Hello… next day service?!? What? Tap, tap… knock, knock… Microsoft, are you hearing this??? There was no two weeks and it might be taken care of, it was next day. Next day I tell you.
