Mommy and Me (and the wife and I)

Got this from Angie’s blog and thought it was cute so I asked two of my three to do it. I also asked my hubby the questions about me.

Little kid

1. What is something mom always says to you?
“That I gotta do what you say.”

2. What makes mom happy?
“when I clean my room”

3. What makes mom sad?
“when I wake up our dog” (side note—dog is ancient)

4. How does your mom make you laugh?
“when you got me a whimpy (means whoopee) cushion and I sat on it and it farts and I laugh”

5. What was your mom like as a child?
“all three of us”

6. How old is your mom?
“34”

7. How tall is your mom?
(he put his hands up to indicate height)

8. What is her favorite thing to do?
“work”

9. What does your mom do when you’re not around?
“work because its quiet”

10. If your mom becomes famous, what will it be for?
“being awesome”

11. What is your mom really good at?
“lifting the giant fish tank”

12. What is your mom not very good at?
“she can’t change the channel on the tv right so I can play video games”

13. What does your mom do for her job?
“she types some stuff”

14. What is your mom’s favorite food?
“hot pockets” (side note—don’t like them at all)

15. What makes you proud of your mom?
“because she does neat stuff with us”

16. If your mom were a cartoon character, who would she be?
“A cat named Tom”

17. What do you and your mom do together?
“have a picnic lunch”

18. How are you and your mom the same?
“this is really tricky, mom. Uh, um, our faces? No. Hmm, how about our hair? Yeah, our hair.”

19. How are you and your mom different?
“Like you’re big and I’m like little”

20. How do you know your mom loves you?
“you know on Valentine’s Day”

22. Where is your mom’s favorite place to go?
“Burger King? No. That’s mine. Uh, to a bookstore.”


Middle kid

1. What is something mom always says to you?
“don’t whine”

2. What makes mom happy?
“when no one bothers her so she can get her work done”

3. What makes mom sad?
“when my brothers and me argue and fight”

4. How does your mom make you laugh?
“when she makes jokes”

5. What was your mom like as a child?
“she liked Halloween and I don’t think she was much of a people person”

6. How old is your mom?
“33?”

7. How tall is your mom?
“short compared to my oldest brother”

8. What is her favorite thing to do?
“to make a book, I guess, or read’em”

9. What does your mom do when you’re not around?
“work and lunch in total quiet”

10. If your mom becomes famous, what will it be for?
“for being an author”

11. What is your mom really good at?
“typing”

12. What is your mom not very good at?
“seeing things faraway without her glasses”

13. What does your mom do for her job?
“she is an author and a book cover maker”

14. What is your mom’s favorite food?
“coffee, that’s a food to you, right, mom?”

15. What makes you proud of your mom?
“when I get my work done”

16. If your mom were a cartoon character, who would she be?
“mandy from the grim adventures of billy and mandy. She’s like exactly like you, mom, but she has blonde hair”

17. What do you and your mom do together?
“we make crafts like voodoo dolls and fun stuff and she takes me out to eat and to arcades”

18. How are you and your mom the same?
“we like computers and laptops”

19. How are you and your mom different?
“she can type and I can’t”

20. How do you know your mom loves you?
“she tells me”

22. Where is your mom’s favorite place to go?

“bookstores”

Husband

1. What is something your wife always says to you?
“really?”

2. What makes your wife happy?
“total silence”

3. What makes your wife sad?
“when I come home from work every day” (he’s laughing as he says this)

4. How does your wife make you laugh?
“you’re just funny”

5. What was your wife like as a child?
“mean to her brother”

6. How old is your wife?
“34? 33? Wait, 34, right. Crap, uh, 29.”

7. How tall is your wife?
“5’7”” (then he proceeded to laugh hysterically) “5’4 ½, 5’5”, 5’6”?”

8. What is her favorite thing to do?
“watch 80’s movies and listen to music”

9. What does your wife do when you’re not around?
“uh, work peacefully and happily, assuming the kids aren’t home”

10. If your wife becomes famous, what will it be for?
“for writing or killing me? It’s really 50/50.”

11. What is your wife really good at?
“her job, being a mom, and wife, that’s about it” (continues laughing)

12. What is your wife not very good at?
“I can’t think of a single thing. No wait. I don’t think she can ski very well.”

13. What does your wife do for her job?
“I think she just writes at her laptop and desktop. A lot of sitting. A lot of typing. All day and all night.”

14. What is your wife’s favorite food?
“I don’t know. What is your favorite food? Some sort of… I don’t know. Some sort of seafood something. It should be if not.”

15. What makes you proud of your wife?
“her job. I’m very proud of what she does.”

16. If your wife were a cartoon character, who would she be?
“Storm from X-men. Just because, uh, no reason, really.”

17. What do you and your wife do together?
“we, uh, better not say that on a blog”

18. How are you and your wife the same?
He only nodded looking scared to answer.

19. How are you and your wife different?
“Yes?” Again with nod and fear in eyes.

20. How do you know your wife loves you?
“Because you tell me?” (still friggin laughing) “And the ‘loving looks’ that you give me and how you always want to ‘cuddle’.” (laughing even harder now)

22. Where is your wife’s favorite place to go?

“coffee shop or bookstore or better yet a coffee shop/bookstore combo”

Aw, your I love the answers both of your kids gave. They’re cute, especially the little one. However, your husband’s answers had me cracking up the whole time, especially with your little asides about how he was laughing the whole time.

I have one man in my house. Just the husband and that one is often too much to handle. I have NO idea how you do it. It must be that awesome sense of humor they all (the kids and your husband) talked about.

Or xanax.

If it were me, it’d have to be xanax.
