Recently, the topic of people reading author newsletters came up when I was tweeting back and forth with Shannon Stacey. The question was posed–are people reading them anymore or has twitter and the ADD like real time insta feed takin’ over the net? I thought I’d put this question to you and find out, but I want to add a twist to that. I want to know if people are still reading blogs & newsletters. I know the numbers/stats on how many people "view" this blog each month and how many get my newsletter sent directly to them. I also know that comments are often non existent anymore. Does that mean no one is really "reading" the blog or does it just mean people are getting the feed sent to them via another way, one that doesn’t lend itself well to commenting. I know I’ll often get more comments on facebook where the blog post is announced than I do on the actual blog. Is this because its handier? Or, are they just flat out not that into blogs & newsletters anymore?
Curious minds wanna know.
