Since my kids have had back to back snow days I decided to avoid trying to write. It would only aggravate me when it didn’t happen. Instead, I thought I’d dig through my WIP folder and get it organzied. It has (I kid you not) over 2k files in it. These are in various stages of done. Some are 10%, some 50%, some 80% (I seem to have a lot 80%ers) and a select few are 100% done but have never been released by me. I get so busy with my current schedule and series that I often push others out of my mind. That was the case with the three book trilogy I found this morning. It’s story arc goes over the three books. Its first person paranormal/urban fantasy romance and each book is 100K-120k. They’re all done. I’d totally forgot about writing it. Its been hidden on my computer for almost five years now. I’m so excited to find it. I started reading through it, remembering the thrill of writing it and falling in love with the characters all over again. Then reality set in. My schedule is booked full through mid-2012. I don’t have room for this series to be released before then, not without sacrificing other release spots of existing series and I would never do that. So, as excited as I am, this won’t see the light of day until probably 2013. That being said, I’m still super excited about it.
I’m back from my VERY first paranormal investigation. I couldn’t have asked for a better team to be who broke me in. LEP was fantastic. They walked me through all the steps and stopped to explain equipment and techniques to me. I want to do a quick shout out of thanks here before I crash without caffeine. I’m not going to give too much away here as far as how it went because I’m writing an article about my experiences. I will say the team was nice enough to invite me back on more hunts and they even gave me and my hubby a super cool LEP t-shirt! So big thanks to, Jason, Steve (one of the men tasked with teaming up with me), Dan (other man tasked with me–don’t you feel bad for them both), Shawn, Todd, JC, Tony, Dave, Bobby, Kris and Eric (I really hope I didn’t leave anyone out from LEP) and then Tim and Joe from the Orphanage itself.
I’m heading to Toledo for the night to join LEP Society for a paranormal investigation. I’m really looking forward to it. I’m very interested in the investigation process and can’t wait to soak up all their knowledge. Big thanks ahead of time to the guys of LEP for allowing me to tag along.
I’ll be writing an article about my adventure.
Its official. I have almost all of my backlist works out and for sale once more. I’m sorry about the delay and the shuffle. I’m sure you can all understand that sometimes life hands you lemons and what you make of them is up to you. I have just a few back titles left and then they’ll all be officially available for purchase once more. For everyone who has stuck by my side through this, no fears, I have LOTS and LOTS more books in the series planned and a good number of them already done. They just needed me to get my act together and get the first ones in the series out into readers hands. Be on the look out for much, much more from me. I hope you all are as excited as I am to be back in full writing mode.
My cover art break was much needed but I’m back now. Consider yourselves warned *grin* .

Yay! Got my new office furniture that hubby spent 2 days putting together (I really love that man). It took us equally as long to rearrange bookshelves and things in here because of the sheer mass of reference books I have. These aren’t great pics but I figured they’d do. The office is 14 x 14 w/ a half bath in it so that makes pic taking not so easy to to. Can’t really get back very far in the room to get a full shot.
:voodoo: Before you ask, YES my desk is covered in skulls and voodoo dolls. Also, bookends that fit “me” like the Bastet statues, Fu Dogs and gargoyles oh and can’t forget the Egyptian Temple Guards. And, of course, Hercules felt the need to rush in at the end and pose for a picture.

I need to take a second to clear something up. Already this morning, three people have emailed in regards to this post. Can I just say, you all rock. I mean, hell, you alert me to things on the web before even google does. My guess is, more emails will come so I’m addressing it now.
This person (Mandy Roth) who writes for the BYU blog is NOT me, regardless of the name. And, yes, Mandy M. Roth is my REAL name, not a pen one. And no, I’m not claiming her name isn’t really Mandy Roth too. I was just making light of the entire mishap with my subject header.
I’ve invested thousands upon thousands of dollars in promotion of said name. I’ve been a published author for almost six years now and have a nice, steady fan base consisting of people from all walks of life. I like that and intend to keep it that way.
That is why I keep my political views to myself. (Meaning, no I’m not giving my thoughts on her post.)
Obviously, BYU Mandy is free to post whatever she wants to post. I wish her the best of luck in all she does. I just wanted to be very clear we are not one in the same. I know the subject matter of her post is sensitive to many so its pretty much the only reason I’m even bothering to point out we’re not the same person and that it wasn’t me who wrote it. I know there is another Mandy Roth out in CA who works for a Rodeo (yeah, you read that right) and to date, no one has assumed that one is me. LOL. What? Can’t see me saddling up? Have you read my books? *snort*
Side note: I’m wondering if BYU Mandy ever googled her name? LOL. Has to be weird seeing your name pop up associated with paranormal erotic fiction (and yes, that includes some m/m).
Okay, so now that I’ve cleared that up, I’ll head off to work on my next HQ sub.
Good news! I’m typing THE END on Project Exorcism III (temp title is Point of No Return) and then I’m sending it to my proofers. From there, it will head to my editor. Here is to hoping she wants it!
I’ve been getting a lot of email from all of you about my releases or lack of them according to some pretty heated emails (have I mentioned how much I love you guys?). Right now, my editor is offering me about 5 spots a year with the company. That’s pretty sweet and I’m excited. I know that if some had their way, I’d be putting out a book a month. LOL. Soon, I’ll route all my fan mail demanding more releases in the series directly to the pubs (kidding). Just wanted to say thanks for the encouragement. I appreciate it more than you’ll ever know. Again, you all are the bestest bestest bestest readers EVER!
