Rain with a Chance of Deer
Grimm Cove® Series
The forecast: one hundred percent chance of trouble… and maybe love.
I thought taking a position at Grimm University would be the start of something normal—new job, new town, maybe even a chance to have a life that didn’t revolve around data models and weather forecasts. As an Assistant Professor of Atmospheric Data Science in the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, I figured my biggest challenge would be calibrating sensors.
Then a deer ran through my holiday light display.
Correction—a man who turns into a deer ran through it.
One minute I’m stringing up twinkle lights, the next I’m face-to-face with a very naked, very apologetic deer-shifter who swears it was an accident involving fermented berries. Apparently, that kind of thing happens in Grimm Cove more often than you’d think.
Now my carefully ordered world is unraveling faster than a string of cheap holiday lights. My storm data keeps showing impossible readings, the town’s weather is acting like it has a temper, and every time Gilbert Carol—the accidental deer missile himself—is nearby, the air practically hums with electricity.
Something’s happening to me—something I can’t explain with science. And if the universe thinks pairing me with a chaotic shifter who can’t stay out of trouble is the way to teach me about magic, it has a wicked sense of humor.
In Grimm Cove, nothing is ever ordinary… and it turns out, neither am I.
