Q: What's a misconception about midlife that you'd like to clear up?
A: There's the misconception about midlife that you begin to slow down after forty. That couldn't be further from the truth. Everyone is living life on a different path and trajectory. Some of us find our true loves in our forties and beyond, while some of us find our life's purpose after thirty. There's no wrong way to live it, and that's why we need this representation in literature and on the screen.
Q: Do you have a personal connection with any of the characters in your story? Does one resonate with you more than the others?
A: Sadly, I resonate with Fernando's feelings of isolation. The pandemic has been incredibly hard for people. I wanted to paint these feelings into his experience.
Q: Tell us a bit about your story.
A: The story of "Eternal" has many parallels to the isolation felt during the Covid-19 pandemic. It revolves around two people trying to find their way back to connecting to something real in the midst of surrounding horrors.
